Transwaste recognises its responsibilities and obligations to the local community and the wider environment for its environmental impact.
It is committed to complying with all relevant environmental legislation at a local, regional, national and European level. Recycling and processing of used materials (waste) into new products delivers many benefits to the environment. It reduces landfill. It enables the re-use of potentially useful materials. Reduces demand for natural resources. It reduces raw materials consumption and energy usage, air pollution (from incineration), and water pollution (from landfill leachate). Reducing the need for “conventional” waste disposal (landfill) also lowers greenhouse gas emissions.
The sorting, grading and segregating of waste materials so they can be recycled and re-used is fundamental to the Transwaste business and commitment to the environment
