Foundations Live returned to Bishop Burton College this September to help inspire and build a sustainable workforce in our region.
The collaboration between Hobson & Porter and Bishop Burton College brought another successful day to the region, with over 50 exhibitors and over 500 students that came to learn more about the construction industry and it’s opportunities.
“Dave Blades, Business Development Director for Hobson & Porter, said: “This year’s Foundations Live event received a brilliant response – we had an even bigger and better turnout than last year’s event. People of all ages from primary school pupils to adult re-trainers came along to find out about the great variety of career options in the construction industry. It was also a great opportunity for organisations to exhibit their products and services, network with other suppliers and tap into the potential among other students.”
Transwaste was proud to be exhibiting at the event, hoping to educate and inspire the next generation to consider the future and potential careers within the construction industry. Our competition of guessing how many RDF Pellets there was in a jar was hugely popular amongst guests, and saw Dylan Collins walking away with a £50 voucher!
We worked collaboratively with Hobson & Porter and other businesses attending from the construction industry to support the local education community, where we look forward to continuing the support.
The day was once again a huge success, and we hope to be back exhibiting the future Foundations Live events.
